Kayo the Penguin is an audio story series for children, made in Poland by two parents. Kayo is a small penguin from an icy island at the bottom of the world. In every episode he travels somewhere new with Hugo the whale and meets an animal that teaches him something: an elephant, a giraffe, a koala, a snow monkey sitting in a hot spring in Japan. Every story ends with real facts about that animal, so a child arrives at school with something to tell.
We write these for the school run as much as for bedtime. An episode runs 16 to 21 minutes, about the length of a drive to school or a walk there and back, and there is nothing to look at, so it works with the phone in a pocket and the screen off.
Written by Jakub Leśniak. Narrated with the voice of Ola Stalmach: a script written by people, read with the narrator's licensed voice model. Five episodes in English so far.
