I googled your podcast after hearing your powerful address to the nation last night. I was taken back by your strength and commitment to God so very soon after Charlieās assasination. I realize this episode was recorded before he entered glory, and know through hearing this one devotion, that you are going to be more than ok. My husband was taken suddenly as well 6 years ago – itās the most incredible gut punch that a woman can endure. Even more so for you because of how Charlieās life was taken. I spoke at my husbands memorial and remember being so scared to speak, but strongly felt Gods peace and His words forming in my heart. He guided me through those awful first months and even years and as I look back, I can see how āprotectedā my heart was and how clear He made the way because He knew how scrambled I was in my thinking and not able to handle it all on my own.
I have bookmarked this site and also have sent it to my daughter. Iām not meaning to be critical, but so many online devotions lack depth and are kind of ācannedā on a way and I stop following after a while. Yours is not like that. I found it challenging and assuring at the same time. I especially enjoyed the scriptures you shared at the end, tying them in to the observations you made on walking the walk. I will be following it now.
Please know as Iām sure you do, how much you and your precious children are being prayed for and loved from afar. You are so loved by your Father – I know His opinions are over you and that His Hand will guide you as you navigate life without Charlie. God bless you, Erika.
Beautiful but very hard to listen to knowing evil came the next day. My prayers are with Charlie and you and your family. Our faith is going to continue on along with Charlieās legacy we will continue to fight this evil in our world.
