Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are back for a seventh run of Titting About, on Audible since 20 August 2026. Two hours and fifty-five minutes, six episodes, an Audible Original, and exactly the same format as the six series before it. Take a subject, then wander away from it for half an hour.

Unlike most of the Audible Originals worth waiting for, this one needs no waiting. Series 6 arrived in May 2025, so the gap has been a little over a year.

Six subjects, loosely observed

The episodes are Catch Up, Showing Off, Aspirations, Death, Podcasts and What Could We Do Now?. In the first they fill each other in on everything since the last series, which takes in Dawn's fake running, an Italian gentleman with an odd greeting style, an unforgettable gynaecological check-up and the small matter of Jennifer being crowned an icon.

After that it spreads out. Showing Off has Dawn embarrassing herself on The Graham Norton Show and eating a microphone. Aspirations covers hosting Deal or No Deal and steering a cruise ship. Death takes in weird wills, Egyptian mummies and the moment Dawn scattered ashes from a New York cab window. The Podcasts episode is about true crime, the supernatural and Gary Lineker's legs, and comes with a warning attached for Benedict Cumberbatch used as a vocal exercise.

The format is the joke

Titting About has no guests, no research and no structure worth the name, which after seven series is plainly deliberate. What it has instead is two comedians who have been working together since the early eighties and who are at their funniest when nothing whatsoever is at stake.

That is also why the length works. Just under three hours across six episodes is roughly half an hour each, long enough for a proper digression and short enough that the digression does not swallow the episode. Series 6 ran three hours and nine minutes, so the shape has barely moved.

Who it is for

If you have heard any of the earlier six series you already know. If you have not, this is conversation rather than sketch comedy, and it assumes a certain fondness for both of them. There is no plot to catch up on, so series 7 is as good a place to start as any.

One warning that Audible attaches and that is worth repeating: it contains strong language and adult themes. That is the point rather than a defect, but it is not one for the school run.

Seven series in, French and Saunders have turned titting about into a discipline. Two hours and fifty-five minutes of two old friends failing to stay on topic is a very specific pleasure, and if it is your kind of thing there is nothing quite like it anywhere else on Audible.
