In each of the seasons, Slow Burn addresses a great case from the recent history of the United States. This podcast features the production of Slate and the formidable presentation of Joel Anderson. The first season addresses Watergate, the great political scandal of the second part of the 20th century. The second season was about the impeachment of Bill Clinton. The third season, very different from the previous two, analyzes the rivalry between two figures of American hip-hop, Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G, whose murders were not solved. Season four dealt with how a white supremacist, David Duke, rose as a mainstream figure. The fifth batch explored the people and ideas that pushed the Iraq war and why different institutions failed to stop it. Season 6 explores the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
